Great shoes, love the traction, especially the heel for downhill. light weight and somewhat waterproof. A little narrow but I have a wide foot and don't believe Salomon has a wide (E) shoe. The only compalint is the stiching on the tongue came loose on the second or third run and the tongue started to pull out. Amazon was great and exchanged my shoes for another pair and I am off and running again!
Just finished Tough Mudder So Cal #1 2013. Temperature was 43-50 degrees all day. Poured rain the night before, so course was muddy. These were definitely the best shoes on the course. I killed it on the mud hills (walked right up, past many who were crawling) and made it to the top of Everest first try. These shoes are amazing for mud runs. They grip the hills going up AND down like velcro. Super comfortable and the lace up held the entire race.
