Even though these are "mountain bike shoes" I wear them for road biking (training for a triathlon), and have no complaints.
I followed the Giro website sizing instructions but when the shoes came I could barely get my feet in them. My feet are narrow so the width was fine, it was the length. I returned them and ordered a full size larger. Terrific shoe otherwise. I love the racket-style top buckle. Nice looking shoe too.
I bought a pair of these shoes last season to replace another pair (different brand) that seemed to cause "hot foot." These were reasonably priced and compatible with my SPD cleats. The features seemed to take hot foot prevention into account, so why not try them, I thought. I will say, I also bought the Giro supernatural fit insoles with arch support, and have them in my shoes. I rode over 3600 miles last year in those shoes and never got hot foot once!
